Alva Industries will exhibit at 2026 Robotics Summit & Expo on May 27 and 28 at the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston. The company will be at Booth 440 on the show floor.
At the show, Alva will display SlimTorq, one of the thinnest and lightest frameless motors on the market. Attendees can also explore the company‘s patented FiberPrinting technology and engage directly with its engineers through a live interactive motor demonstration.
“Robotics engineers are working with tighter constraints and higher performance requirements than ever before,” said Dr. Nicolas Giraudo, chief commercial officer at Alva Industries. “Flexibility that guarantees design freedom is one of the most important challenges in component selection. SlimTorq is a direct answer to that challenge, and Boston is the right place to have that conversation. We look forward to showing what Alva can do in practice.”
Recently, Alva launched SlimTorq STM-190-35, a new, larger size in its SlimTorq frameless, slotless motor portfolio. The STM-190-35 expands the STM range with increased torque capability and precision, enabling demanding direct-drive applications where performance, compactness, and design flexibility are critical.
What will Alva have at its booth in Boston?
Alva will present its SlimTorq frameless motor family across a range of sizes, enabling attendees to compare form factors and assess suitability for their specific motion system requirements. SlimTorq motors are slotless, frameless designs optimized for high torque density, low cogging, and compact radial integration. The company noted that these characteristics particularly relevant for robotic joints, collaborative arm actuators, exoskeletons, and precision positioning systems.
Evaluation units will be available at the booth, giving engineers the chance to handle physical motor samples and discuss integration requirements directly with Alva specialists. The company will also have samples of FiberPrinting windings, its proprietary stator manufacturing technology.
FiberPrinting enables the production of motors in almost any shape or size while maintaining a minimal axial footprint, high efficiency, and superior thermal management, according to Alva. A live interactive motor demonstration will run at the booth throughout both days of the event.
Register for the Robotics Summit & Expo today
Registration is now open for the Robotics Summit & Expo, the world’s leading technical event for commercial robotics developers. The summit is produced by The Robot Report and WTWH Media.
The show will have more than 50 sessions in tracks on AI, design and development, enabling technologies, healthcare, and logistics. The Engineering Theater on the show floor will also feature presentations by industry experts.
More than 70 speakers are confirmed from companies such as Fictiv, Harmonic Drive, maxon, PickNik Robotics, RealSense, Robust AI, Tesla, Toyota Research Institute, and more.
The Robotics Summit will also feature a number of networking opportunities. They include a Mix & Mingle Networking Reception after the first day of the show and the ticketed RBR50 Awards Dinner.
The Robotics Summit & Expo is co-located with DeviceTalks Boston, which focuses on medical devices.
