For more than a decade, Ghost Robotics has operated legged robots in mission-critical applications across defense, security, and industrial environments. Its robots operate using the company’s proprietary electronics, software stack, and control system.
At the Robotics Summit & Expo, which takes place May 27-28, 2026, in Boston, Mass., Gavin Kenneally, CEO and co-founder of Ghost Robotics, will lead the talk “From Prototype to Perimeter: 10 Years of Legged Robotics in Action.”
At the show, Kenneally will share lessons from 10 years of deploying quadruped robots in the field. The talk will cover real-world case studies, how advances in software are unlocking new capabilities, and what the next five years may hold for legged robotics in both the public and private sectors.
Gavin Kenneally, PhD, is the co-founder and CEO of Philadelphia-based Ghost Robotics. Prior to his role as CEO, he was head of product for the company, responsible for the mechanical design of the company’s flagship product, Vision 60 Q-UGV.
As CEO of Ghost Robotics, Dr. Kenneally spearheads a team of highly skilled engineers and researchers who share his passion for creating advanced robotics systems. Dr. Kenneally earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and has authored six academic papers and thirteen patents.
Ghost Robotics has gained a reputation for pushing the boundaries of robotics technology, particularly in the field of legged robots. The company’s Vision 60 is used throughout the DoD for a variety of use cases.
Kenneally was a guest on a recent episode of The Robot Report Podcast, where he shared his experience building legged robotics.
In late 2025, the company released a manipulator arm for its Vision 60 robots. The company said the lightweight, top-mounted system expands the Vision 60’s mission capabilities by adding precise, robust manipulation.
