Globant invests in InOrbit Series A to advance robot orchestration

Robot orchestration software promises to effectively coordinate robots, human workers, and AI agents. InOrbit Inc. today announced that it has closed its Series A funding round from Globant and others. The company said it will use the capital to accelerate the development of its platform and expand its presence across key industries, including manufacturing, logistics, retail, and hospitality.

Enterprises are turning to automation to face challenges including labor shortages and supply chain risks, noted InOrbit.AI. “However, a fragmented robotics market, rigid enterprise software, and siloed physical infrastructure have created a significant barrier to adoption at scale,” the Mountain View, Calif.-based company said.

“Our ambition is to optimize everything that moves, helping our customers increase flexibility, become more resilient, and drive continuous efficiency improvements in their physical workflows,” stated Florian Pestoni, founder and CEO of InOrbit.AI. “This Series A investment is a powerful validation of our vision. We are innovating at the intersection of agentic and physical AI, enabling software-defined orchestration of smart robots, vehicles, software, and equipment.”

Founded in 2017, InOrbit said its AI-powered robot operations, or RobOps, software powers deployments across four continents. Pestoni will participate in a panel on “Scaling Robots From Five to 5 Million” at RoboBusiness 2025, which will be in Santa Clara, Calif., on Oct. 15 and 16. Register now to attend.

InOrbit and Globant bring orchestration to digitalization

InOrbit said its success follows broader developments in robotics and artificial intelligence, from specialized autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to general-purpose humanoid robots with embedded intelligence. With 1 billion robots expected over the next decade, the company said it provides a shared digital infrastructure for collaboration among humans, robots, and fixed equipment.

In addition, InOrbit said its software serves as “the central nervous system” for robots, bringing agentic AI capabilities to physical operations. The company said it enables autonomous decision-making and adaptive responses in real-world environments for customers including Colgate-Palmolive and Genentech, a member of the Roche Group.

Last year, InOrbit partnered with Globant, which now offers InOrbit’s RobOps software as part of its Robotics Studio. The Luxemburg-based company provides subscription-based services to help digital transformation initiatives, and it participated in InOrbit’s Series A.

“InOrbit’s platform represents exactly the kind of foundational technology layer our enterprise clients need – one that enhances their current WMS, ERP, and operational systems rather than replacing them,” he added. “By supporting InOrbit, and enhancing it with agentic AI power, we expand its ability to orchestrate different fleets of robots and autonomous systems across industries at scale”.

Globant and InOrbit said their partnership and the investment will expand their customers’ ability to integrate physical automation into enterprise workflows. Using Globant Enterprise AI, the company’s flagship AI platform, the organizations are working together to develop agentic solutions to bring digital transformation, with InOrbit Space Intelligence acting as a bridge to the physical world.

Investors look to a collaborative future

L’ATTITUDE Ventures, a Latino early-stage fund with over $100 million in assets under management, and Globant Ventures, Globant’s corporate venture capital fund, co-led InOrbit’s Series A round.

“InOrbit Space Intelligence represents the future of how we think about physical operations,” said Laura Moreno Lucas, general partner at L’ATTITUDE Ventures. “We are witnessing a profound transformation in how industries operate, and robot orchestration is the critical missing layer of the tech stack, making all the parts work together in harmony.”

InOrbit said its funding round builds on momentum including its selection in 2024 for the Google for Startups Founders Fund. The company asserted that the recognition underscored its leadership “at the intersection of AI, robotics, and enterprise transformation.”

Their creative use of Google Cloud and AI tools is driving real progress in the physical world for enterprise customers, and we’re excited to see their continued growth and impact.”
