Gatik brings in $200M to continue expanding autonomous trucking operations

Gatik AI Inc. yesterday said it has raised $200 million in Series D funding. The company said it plans to use the investment to accelerate driverless commercial freight across Fortune 50 retail, consumer packaged goods, and grocery supply chains.

Mountain View, Calif.-based Gatik said its AI-first autonomous vehicle (AV) technology is purpose-built for use across highways and surface streets. Its autonomous trucks use dynamic routes to help customers respond to changing demand, distribution center activity, and pickup and drop-off needs across commercial networks.

“This round, led by some of the world’s leading financial institutions, is a clear validation of Gatik’s commercial leadership in autonomous freight,” stated Gautam Narang, co-founder and CEO of Gatik. “We have built Gatik with real revenue, deep customer demand, and AI-driven autonomous technology proven every day in live supply chains. This round gives us the capital to scale with speed and discipline, serve the world’s largest companies, and define the future of autonomous freight.”

Gatik autonomous truck fleet is growing

Gatik said it has more than $600 million in contracted revenue, completed 85,000 fully driverless orders, and 99% on-time delivery across its operations. With dozens of driverless trucks already operating today across North America, the company plans to expand to thousands in the years ahead.

The company’s trucks move goods across high-frequency regional networks between distribution centers and stores. It said this gives customers a reliable way to add capacity, improve service levels, and keep products moving.

In June, Gatik said it has expanded its multi-year strategic partnership with PepsiCo. The company’s first deployment with PepsiCo was in 2022.

Gatik has already conducted operations for PepsiCo across Texas, Arizona, and Arkansas. The new partnership focuses on PepsiCo’s regional transportation networks, where Gatik moves products daily from site to site.

Funding to put more self-driving trucks on regional routes

Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and Koch Disruptive Technologies (KDT) led Gatik’s Series D round. Millennium Management, ARK Invest, Intact Private Capital and others also participated.

“We’ve long believed autonomous freight has the potential to improve the efficiency and reliability of supply chains,” said Byron Knight, president of Koch Disruptive Technologies. “What we’re seeing today is autonomy moving beyond a promising technology into real-world commercial operations. Gatik has demonstrated a practical approach to that transition, and we look forward to supporting the company’s continued growth.”

Gatik said the latest funding will help expand its model built around high-frequency regional routes that connect distribution centers and stores. These routes are time-sensitive, operationally complex, and essential to keeping shelves stocked as customer expectations shift toward faster, more predictable access to everyday products, noted the company.
