Boston Dynamics released a new video showing the electric Atlas robot doing pushups.
Waymo’s vehicles have already been serving more than 100,000 paid weekly trips across its deployment sites using its 5th-generation robotaxi, released in March 2020. The company said this system has been crucial in helping it scale its service to some of the densest cities in the U.S. In addition, Waymo’s autonomous vehicles have started picking up and dropping off riders at the Phoenix airport.
FANUC has launched its new R50iA robot controller in compliance with international cybersecurity standards. The R-50iA also includes password-based user authentication. The company said this can serve robotic applications such as dispensing and other demanding tasks that require exceptional control.
LimX Dynamics demonstrated the latest generation of its CL-1 humanoid, upgrading the physical and functional capabilities of the robot. Since debuting the robot in late 2023, Shenzhen, China-based LimX has been busy teaching it to work in a warehouse setting.
LimX said the robot uses real-time perception to understand the world around it, along with full-body coordinated motion to lift and place heavy objects. The robot is not equipped with a human-like hand, but it uses simple paddle end effectors to grip and control a tote or box.
