RoboBusiness 2025 kicks off at the Santa Clara Convention Center tomorrow. At the show, attendees will gain the latest insights from experts in robotics and AI on cutting-edge research, industry trends, and innovative applications.
This year’s conference will also feature more than 60 speakers, a startup workshop, the annual Pitchfire competition, and numerous networking opportunities. Over 100 exhibitors on the show floor will showcase the latest enabling technologies, products, and services to help solve your robotics development challenges.
To help you keep track of everything going on, we’ve compiled a summary of all of the activities at the event over the next two days. In addition, you can download the RoboBusiness App to plan your personal schedule, network with fellow attendees, find exhibits, and more.
This afternoon, we’ll kick off with a pre-show Welcome Reception from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. PT in Meeting Room MCB B1. This is a ticketed event that costs $35.
Buckle up for a packed first day of RoboBusiness
Day 1 of the event will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with a keynote talk from Deepu Talla, the vice president of robotics and edge AI at NVIDIA. His talk, “Physical AI for the New Era of Robotics,” will be in the main Theater, and he will discuss how NVIDIA is accelerating the industry’s transition to physical AI.
Talla’s keynote will be followed by a short networking break, and then by a keynote panel, “Lessons Learned From the First Humanoid Deployments,” at 10:30 a.m. This talk will include Jim Fan, the director of AI and a distinguished scientist at NVIDIA; Pras Velagapudi, chief technology officer at Agility Robotics; and Mike Oitzman, senior editor at The Robot Report.
In addition, the RoboBusiness show floor will open at 10:00 a.m. and stay open until 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 15. On the floor, you can find the Engineering Theater, a networking lounge, the Startup Showcase, the MassRobotics Startup Alley, and the KAIST Korean Pavilion. If you’re interested in picking up lunch, you can find the food court at the back of the expo hall.
Breakout sessions will kick off at 11:30 a.m. in Rooms 201, 203/204, 206, 207, 209/210, and 212. There will be a break for lunch at 12:15 p.m. Afternoon sessions will kick off at 1:30 p.m. and will continue through the afternoon. The final sessions will wrap up at 4:45 p.m.
Engineering Theater sessions will start at 11:45 a.m. These sessions will run for the rest of the day.
That night, the RoboBusiness Networking Reception will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the second floor pre-function area and terrace.
The fun continues on Day 2
Sergey Levine gives an explanation of how research into foundation models can benefit robotics at RoboBusiness 2024.
Day 2 will kick off at 10:00 a.m. with our “State of Robotics” keynote in the Theater. This panel will include:
- Sanjay Aggarwal, a venture partner at F-Prime
- Jon Battles, vice president of technology strategy at Cobot
- Brian Gaunt, the North American vice president of digital transformation at DHL Supply Chain
- Amit Goel, director of product management for autonomous machines at NVIDIA
- Eugene Demaitre, editorial director at The Robot Report
They will discuss the technical breakthroughs driving business progress, the barriers still holding teams back, and the trends shaping robotics in the years to come.
This will be followed by a short break, and then another keynote, “Closing the Robotics Gap With China,” at 11:00 a.m. Jeff Burnstein, president of the Association for Advancing Automation (A3); Georg Stieler, the head of robotics and automation at Stieler Technology and Market Advisory; and Eric Truebenbach, managing director at Teradyne Ventures, will discuss with moderator Demaitre how global players can foster innovation ecosystems, strengthen supply chains, and accelerate commercialization to compete on the world stage.
The show floor will open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 3:00 p.m. Engineering Theater sessions will begin at 11:45 a.m. and continue throughout the day. Among them is the annual Pitchfire startup competition at 1:45 p.m.
Breakout sessions will start at 12:00 p.m. and will pause for a break at 12:45 p.m. They’ll start up again at 1:30 p.m. and wrap up at 3:15 p.m.
Day 2 includes the Women in Robotics Luncheon at 12:45 p.m. in Room 209/210. During this lunch, attendees will hear an exclusive conversation between Tessa Lau, co-founder of Dusty Robotics, and Joyce Sidopoulos, co-founder of MassRobotics. They will discuss Lau’s journey in robotics and her current work building systems for the construction industry.
The show will close with a final keynote presentation at 3:30 p.m. in the Theater. During this talk, Iman Jeddi, the senior vice president and general manager of da Vinci platforms and product operations at Intuitive Surgical, will provide a look inside the redesign and launch of the da Vinci 5, the company’s next-generation surgical robot.
