Attabotics, a supplier of automated storage and retrieval systems, was unable to obtain additional funding from Export Development Canada

Attabotics announced that it brought in $71.7 million in Series C-1 funding. The latest round brings its total funding to $165.1 million. 

Cyra Richardson was named chief technology officer and chief product officer, while Julien Seret was named vice president of network supply chain.

Both companies develop automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) and are pursuing the lucrative grocery automation market.

Attabotics, a developer of goods-to-person storage, retrieval, and real-time order fulfillment robots, raised a $50 million Series C round.

The expectations for e-commerce order fulfillment are accelerating expectations for supply chain insights, robustness, and flexibility, says Attabotics CEO Scott Gravelle.

Attabotics, which recently raised Series B funding, applies biologically inspired models to AS/RS for modern commerce fulfillment.

In July 2019, investments in robotics, autonomous vehicles, and drones increased, despite a decline in the number of transactions.
