RBR50 Gala to celebrate innovators at Robotics Summit & Expo

By The Robot Report Staff | February 23, 2024

The RBR50 Robotics Innovation Awards have honored industry leaders for the past 12 years. And now we’re taking the RBR50 to the next level.

The inaugural RBR50 Gala will be on May 1 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. ET at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center at the end of the first day of the Robotics Summit & Expo. The RBR50 Gala offers a chance to connect with the world’s leading robotics innovators. It’s also an evening of celebration to honor leading roboticists and their impressive achievements.

The event will include a cocktail hour, a plated dinner, photo opportunities, and the chance to hear from the Robot of the Year, Startup of the Year, and Application of the Year winners. Each RBR50 winner will receive two complimentary tickets to the Robotics Summit and RBR50 Gala. A limited number of tickets is also available to summit attendees.

The Robotics Summit & Expo will also have a dedicated area on the show floor dedicated to current and previous RBR50 winners.

This year’s RBR50 awards recognize various forms of innovation that occurred during 2023, including new products and technologies, emerging applications and markets, and unique business management approaches. The RBR50 will highlight three new categories this year:

  • Robot of the Year: The RBR50 awards will honor a complete system that is a game-changer in terms of technology innovation, use case, and industry influence.
  • Startup of the Year: Nominees must be less than five years old or pre-Series A, and they must be already testing their innovations with customers.
  • Application of the Year: The winner will be a use case that has previously been difficult to automate and where robotics and automation have demonstrated a clear benefit over previous processes.

Read about the 2023 RBR50 winners and 2022 RBR50 winners.

For any questions about the RBR50 Gala, please contact editors Steve Crowe or Eugene Demaitre. For sponsorship information, contact Colleen Sepich.

Robotics Summit brings together 5,000+ robotics developers

The Robotics Summit & Expo will feature more than 60 speakers and over 40 technical sessions. Keynote speakers will include:

  • Jonathan Hurst, co-founder and chief robot officer, Agility Robotics
  • Tye Brady, chief technologist, Amazon Robotics
  • Ujjwal Kumar, president, Teradyne Robotics
  • Moritz Baecher, Tony Dohi, and Morgan Pope from Disney
  • Medtronic will demonstrate a remote robotic-assisted surgical system

You can view the complete Robotics Summit agenda here. Speakers are still being added.

This will be the largest Robotics Summit ever. It will include more than 150 exhibitors, various networking opportunities, a women in robotics breakfast, a career fair, an engineering theater, a startup showcases, and more!

Registration is now open for the event. Register by March 8 to take advantage of early-bird pricing.
