GFT Technologies and NEURA Robotics partner to build software for physical AI

Physical AI is the result of a combination of cutting-edge robotics and artificial intelligence. NEURA Robotics this week said it has chosen GFT Technologies SE as a strategic partner to develop a software platform to power the next generation of physical AI.

“Being chosen as a strategic partner by NEURA Robotics is a powerful validation of GFT’s next-generation technology leadership,” stated Marco Santos, Global CEO of GFT. “We are bringing our core AI software and digital platform expertise into the robotics realm—extending our responsible AI-centric strategy into a sector that’s set to transform industry and everyday life alike: robotics and physical AI.”

GFT brings software expertise

GFT is a global digital transformation company with 12,000 experts in 20 countries. The Stuttgart, Germany-based company builds systems for banking, insurance, and manufacturing. Its partnership with NEURA marks its entry into the growing robotics sector.

Other partners of GFT include AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Thought Machine.

GFT Technologies has expertise in data, AI, and high-performance architecture and has successfully completed a  platform project. NEURA said this experience makes it a good partner for its efforts to bridge the gap between software intelligence and physical action.

NEURA works to make machinery smarter

“With GFT, we have found a strategic partner that shares our vision of bringing cognitive robotics into real-world application,” said David Reger, founder and CEO of NEURA Robotics. “Their deep technological expertise and strong track record in AI software engineering and in complex and highly regulated industries helps us close the gap between AI insight and physical execution – laying the foundation for a new era of intelligent machines.”

Metzingen, Germany-based NEURA said it is a pioneer in “cognitive robotics” that combine sensors and components for physical AI on each of its devices. The company said its machines can learn, adapt, and act autonomously in real-world environments.

NEURA has developed systems for collaborative robot arms and mobile manipulators. Last month, the company launched its latest robots and Neuraverse ecosystem, and it recently partnered with HD Hyundai on shipbuilding robots.
