8 robots that were working hard at Germany’s Motek automation show

By Paul Heney | October 18, 2017

Logo building
At the Asyril booth, this Epson robot was busy making logos a little more three dimensional.

Pick and place
The MKE booth featured this Stäubli TX60 grasping and replacing different components.

Going for a spin
Over at Pflügen’s booth, a Fanuc R-2000iC 210F was keeping busy manipulating car wheels, to show its strength and precision.

Line ‘em up
Kubik Automation was showcasing a Denso robot that was picking up packs of minds and carefully assembling them in a straight line.

Ein Bier?
Here, a Fanuc R-200iC 5LC at the Zaugg Maschinenbau AG booth was going through a whole light manufacturing process, assembling bottle openers for show attendees.

Battle bots
At the Hiwin booth, attendees could watch a group of RA605 articulated robots wielding light sabers in a choreographed dance that was strangely mesmerizing.

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before …
A Fanuc LR Mate 200iD/7L, Kuka and Universal Robot walk into a bar. Wait, what’s the punchline? Heck if we know, but these three buddies were busy stacking cups together, and whatever drinking proceeded this didn’t seem to have affected their abilities.

Child’s play
At Bdtronic, this ABB YuMi robot was keeping itself busy by playing with a fidget spinner and taking people’s business cards. Third graders, watch out!
