Thanks to QLayers, coating large-scale industrial surfaces is becoming a controlled, efficient, and safe process.
Description:
In February 2021, QLayers launched its 10Q painting robot that is designed to coat large industrial surfaces. The semi-autonomous system can paint up to 2,150 square feet per hour. The system’s patented shielding system allows coating surfaces with high precision, accurate layer thickness and high transfer efficiency of up to 90%. It can paint tanks that are a maximum of 99 feet high and claims to have less than 1% overspray outside of the robot’s hood. QLayers developed the system in partnership with Van der Ende Steel Protectors Group, which was founded in 1929 and is one of the largest Dutch specialists in the protection of steel against corrosion.
