A drone collides with a plane. On second thought, it didn’t.
After a pilot claimed a drone collided with his British Airways Airbus A320 passenger plane as it approached London’s Heathrow Airport, an investigation found no evidence that a drone is what hit the plane. In fact, one report says it was a plastic bag that hit the plane.
Not a good look for the pilot, not sure how you confuse a drone with a plastic bag, but that’s beside the point.
Drone sightings near airplanes have increased, and they need to stop. Dave Brown, founder of Droners.io, a marketplace that connects certified drone pilots with consumers, joins The Robotics Trends Show to discuss all things drones. We discuss how to stop drone sighting at airports, the drone delivery landscape, how Flirtey, despite having its delivery drone accepted to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, won’t beat Amazon in the delivery drone market, and much more.
