What would you give as a gift to the Pope? A drone, apparently.
Students from a Jesuit school in Rome gave Pope Francis a drone (equipped with a camera) on Thursday, and it’s custom painted with the colors of the Vatican flag (yellow and white) and bears the papal emblem.
According to the organizers of the gift, the drone “represented…the values of technology in the service of man.” That, of course, has been highlighted in recent days by the use drones to help Nepal recover after the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake last week.

“(There) the drones have proved useful to check the condition of structures (in the earthquake zone) and study paths from bringing relief to people who need this in remote villages,” the organizers of the drone gift wrote.
It’s unclear what the Pope will do with the drone. Hopefully he doesn’t crash it. What do you think he’ll use the drone for? Vote in our poll below.
