We just wrote about the Robolink 12-in-1 Rokit Smart robot kit that launched on Kickstarter. Its original goal was to raise a modest $15,000 by June 16.

Well, about a day or so into the campaign, Robolink surpassed that number and raised its goal to $50,000. So that got us thinking. Are there other robot projects doing well on Kickstarter, too?

There most certainly are. And, shockingly (or not), the majority of the hot robot projects are consumer drones. One of those is CyPhy Works’ LVL 1 Drone, which according to our calculations, cracks the 10 Most Funded Kickstarter Robots Ever List.

However, there also are a couple robot kits that made the list.

Many crowdfunding campaigns are unsuccessful, of course, but others are not. These projects, all of which are function robots, have hit homeruns with their crowdfunding campaigns.
