When you were searching for that perfect Christmas gift for the kids, did you find yourself saying, “I wish they made a dancing robot dinosaur that could follow people around”?
Well, you’re in luck. The folks at WowWee Robotics, creator of the popular MiP robot, have introduced MiPosaur, a robotic creature with evolving intelligence and personality that can sense its environment. It comes with gesture control technology that allows you to control it with the swipe of your hand. Move your hand side to side to make MiPosaur dance or cover its eyes.
MiPosaur comes with an interactive TrackBall that it plays with, using it to activate Feed, Chase and Guard modes. MiPosaur, compatible with both iOS and android smart devices, is fully interactive with the MiP robot and a BLE enabled app. Look for MiPosaur in the third quarter of 2015 for $120.
WowWee also introduced at CES 2015 its Robotic Enhanced Vehicles (REV) that are app-enabled and “built for battle.” Sounds similar to Anki Drive. REVs are equipped with a proprietary indoor GPS system that enables them to sense their surroundings. REV does not require a special surface to play on, and a limitless number of people can enter the game.
Each REV Starter Kit comes with two specially-equipped vehicles; just download the free app onto an iOS or Android smart device and jump into the driver seat, while setting the second REV to Autonomous Mode. Square off against your REV opponent in multiple game modes like Chase and Evade and Capture the Flag.
Check out the video below. WowWee says REV will launch in Q3 2015 for $99.99.
