If you haven’t learned by now, animals aren’t too keen on drones. Simply watch Tushi, the 23-year-old chimpanzee smash this $2,100 drone out of thin air at the Royal Burgers’ Zoo in the Netherlands or this cat swat a Teeny drone shortly after takeoff.
We now have our latest example of when nature attacks, this time courtesy of a swarm of bees.
Posted by YouTube user indaskys, who is based in South Africa, he captured bees swarming around his quadcopter drone. The bees try to overwhelm the drone, but they eventually give up and buzz off.
So what happened here? It’s unclear, but the drone’s buzzing noise could have been perceived as a threat by the bees. Thankfully the drone isn’t allergic to bee stings.
What’s next? Fish learning how to fight back against drones?
