Just how brutal has Winter been here in Boston? Well, the snowfall record is 107.6 inches set in 1995-96, and Boston currently has 103.9 inches officially recorded this year at Logan International Airport. And up to 4 inches of snow is expected to come on Tuesday.
February was the snowiest month Boston’s ever had with 64.8 inches.
Boston Virtual Imaging (BVI), a real estate visual media production company, decided to capture the Winter Wonderland from a drones-eye view using a DJI Phantom 2 drone. The video captures some of Boston’s most well-known spots, including iconic Fenway Park.
BVI says the video was a “fun project” and that there wasn’t a customer for the video.
Boston residents probably won’t be enamored with the footage, who’d blame them, but BVI adds a friendly reminder at the end of the video that the first day of Spring is March 20.
In anticipation of Spring, we’re also giving away an iRobot Room 870 Vacuum Cleaning Robot. You can enter the contest here.
