Universal Robots develops collaborative robots arms that automate and streamline repetitive processes. It offers robots for pick and place, injection molding, CNC, packaging and palletizing, quality inspection, assembly, machine tending, lab analysis and testing, and gluing and welding applications.

Universal Robots serves automotive and subcontractors, food and tobacco production, furniture and equipment, metal and machining, plastic and polymers, pharma and chemistry, and scientific and research industries. It offers its products through distributors in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania.

Universal Robots was founded in 2005 and is based in Odense, Denmark. It was acquired by Teradyne in 2015 for $285 million.
