CLEVELAND and BOSTON — Business-to-business publisher WTWH Media has announced that Rich Mahoney, co-founder and CEO of Seismic, will deliver a keynote address at the Healthcare Robotics Engineering Forum, a conference and exposition dedicated to improving the design, development and manufacture of next-generation, commercial healthcare robots. The event will take place December 9-10, 2019 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

“We are delighted to have Rich Mahoney deliver a keynote address at the Healthcare Robotics Engineering Forum,” said Dan Kara, vice president of robotics at WTWH Media. “Rich is well-known and respected within the global robotics community as the founding president of Silicon Valley Robotics, and especially for his work as director of robotics at SRI International, transitioning SRI research into commercial robotics products and creating companies such as Abundant Robotics, Verb Surgical, Motobot, Grabit, and more.”

“As CEO of another SRI spinoff, Seismic, an apparel company that creates garments fused with discreet robotic muscles, known as Powered Clothing, he understands the challenges encountered when developing healthcare robotics solutions, and the positive impact they can have on society,” Kara added.

Mahoney will discuss how robotics will democratize and improve the quality of care at the inaugural event for developers of healthcare robotics.
