Schmersal is proud to introduce the SRB-EXi series; a generation of safety relay modules which combines the proven SRB safety relay functionality with the demands of explosion protection.
The SRB-EXi are suitable for secure signal analysis of emergency stop equipment and for safety monitoring of switchgear up to Category 4, PLe in accordance with ISO 13849 and SIL 3 in accordance to IEC 61508.
The SRB-EXi modules are developed on the foundation of the European ATEX directive and fulfill the international IECex requirements as well as the INMETRO (National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality, Brazil) specifications for the Brazilian and South American market, allowing these units to be used in hazardous atmosphere applications throughout the world.
Features of the SRB-EXi series include intrinsically safe designed inputs, up to 2 safety outputs, options for an auxiliary output, LED status and diagnostics, automatic or manual reset and a 22.5mm width housing.
