Business-to-Business publisher WTWH Media, LLC, parent company of The Robot Report, announced MassRobotics as the exclusive Strategic Partner for the inaugural Robotics Summit & Showcase to be held on May 23-24, 2018, in Boston. In this role, MassRobotics will provide strategic guidance for the Summit, and act as a liaison to MassRobotics’ partners and sponsors participating in the event.

The Robotics Summit & Showcase is a multifaceted educational forum dedicated to addressing the technical issues involved with the design, development, manufacture and delivery of commercial robotics and intelligent systems products and services. The call for presentations deadline has been extended to February 16.

“We’re very excited about bringing a world class robotics event to Boston with the cooperation and support of MassRobotics,” said Scott McCafferty, Publisher, WTWH Media. “Robotics technology touches every industry, and we see an amazing opportunity to grow this event together.”

“Massachusetts is a global hub of robot technology development and innovation,” said Tom Ryden, executive director, MassRobotics. “As Boston is a leading international robotics cluster, there must be a compelling conference to support the growing group of engineers, technical managers, business professionals and investors involved in this marketplace. Teaming with WTWH Media, the producers of The Robot Report, to bring The Robotics Summit to Boston supports our mission of bringing robotics to life.”

MassRobotics is an independant, non-profit organization whose mission is to support the robotics community in Massachusetts. It serves to create and grow the next generation of robotics and smart connected device companies by providing entrepreneurs and innovators with the facilities and resources they need to develop, prototype, test, challenge, and nurture early ideas.

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker recently awarded a $2.5 million MassWorks grant to MassRobotics to help it expand. The non-profit opened 15,000 sq.ft. of shared workspace in Boston’s Marine Industrial Park in February 2017 and now houses more than 30 companies and organizations. With the grant, MassRobotics will build-out up to 35,000 sq. ft. of additional space. There will also be public event space and a dedicated STEM lab where students and others can learn about the latest technologies that will be impact and inspire them.

The Robotics Summit & Showcase is a brand extension of The Robot Report, an online resource focused on gathering industry news and exploring the business and applications of robotics. The Robot Report also develops and tracks a global index of robotic companies and industry stocks.
