Dissatisfied with available solutions, ETH Zurich spin-off releases a new sensor for robotics applications.
Description:
In the fall of 2019, Sevensense Robotics, a spin-off om the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich, released Alphasense Core, an advanced multi-camera sensor designed specifi cally for robotics applications. The Alphasense Core consists of up to eight high-resolution cameras that can be fl exibly mounted around a robot to ensure the best positioning on the system, depending on the target application. The cameras are all precisely mid- ame, synchronized together with a motion sensor to provide high quality, 360-degree spatial awareness, even in suboptimal lighting conditions.
