The Cori Surgical System gives surgeons greater accuracy for prosthetic implants.
Description:
Smith and Nephew’s Cori Surgical System for knee replacements is a pioneering robotic navigation system that obtains all the information that a surgeon needs in real time during the procedure. No pre-operative CT scans or MRIs are needed.
The heart of the Cori Surgical System is the ATRACSYS tracking system. The compact ATRACSYS fusionTrack 500 is composed of two cameras designed to detect and track fiducials (reflective spheres, disks and/or IR-LEDs) with high precision in real time video streams. Triangulation enables retrieving 3D position of each fiducial with sub-millimeter accuracy.
