Robots are often well-suited for dirty jobs. And there aren’t many jobs dirtier than cleaning airport bathrooms.
Primech AI recently launched its next-generation HYTRON bathroom cleaning robot. The HYTRON mobile manipulator is designed to clean bathrooms in airports, hospitals, hotels, shopping malls, and office buildings. It can autonomously navigate tight spaces and conduct multiple tasks, according to Primech.
The service robot completed its first commercial trials in September 2024, and the company said it received positive customer feedback.
The company’s latest model still uses the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Super System-on-Module (SoM). Primech said this enables energy efficiency, real-time data processing, and intelligent navigation. Combined with advanced 3D-cleaning capabilities and electrolyzed water technology, the company claimed HYTRON ensures consistent, high-quality cleaning while significantly reducing manual labor requirements.

Primech said the new HYTRON features significant technological enhancements, including:
