MecklerMedia, a trade show organizer, is launching a new three-day, two-track workshop, seminar and exhibition on most verticals in robotics (other than heavy industry, military and space) to be held May 11-13 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
Richard Erb, who up until recently headed the Robotics Trends division of EH Publishing and all their robotics-related websites and events including the recent RoboBusiness held in Boston – will be the new Executive Director for RoboUniverse.
MecklerMedia is a leader in 3D Printing and Bitcoin trade shows worldwide and presently runs 26 global events focused on those two groups. Alan Meckler has a 20-year history in providing business-to-business services and B2B events for emerging technologies.
Meckler outlined his goals for RoboUniverse: to create a series of global robotics-focused executive networking and educational trade shows with meaningful seminars, workshops and product demos. The first such event will be held in NYC at the Jacob Javits Convention Center May 11-13. Shortly thereafter RoboUniverse will be held in Seoul, South Korea and after that a U.S. West Coast location in either Los Angeles, Orange County or San Diego. Meckler plans to announce dates for the West Coast US, Berlin, London and either Shanghai or Singapore shows within two months.
As the robotics industry emerges, the need for trade get-togethers such as RoboBusiness, Innorobo and RoboUniverse becomes evermore important. We wish Alan, Richard and RoboUniverse the best in their new adventure.
