With National Robotics Week 2025 just around the corner, MassRobotics announced its plans to participate in the celebration. The organization plans to host students for hands-on experiences in its STEM Lab.

The week, which takes place from April 5 to 13, is an annual celebration that aims to inspire students in robotics and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics)-related fields and to share the excitement of robotics with audiences of all ages.

“We are always happy to share our first-hand experience with students, as we believe in inspiring the next generation of innovators,” said Thomas Ryden, MassRobotics Executive Director. “Showcasing the multitude of career paths in the robotics field not only highlights the diverse opportunities available, but also helps students envision how they can apply their skills and passions to shape the future of technology.”

This year, with the support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Army Research Laboratory, also known as DEVCOM ARL, MassRobotics will host both local and out-of-state students. During the events, Army representatives will be on hand, supporting these engagements to foster curiosity and innovation.

Boston-based MassRobotics is a nonprofit robotics hub dedicated to accelerating innovation and adoption in the field of robotics. The organization provides entrepreneurs and startups with the workspace and networking they need to successfully develop, prototype, test, and commercialize the next generation of robotics and connected devices.

MassRobotics to offer National Robotics Week experiences

MassRobotics said some highlights of the week will include:

  • Hands-on robotics workshops: Students will have the chance to program robots for a mini-competition.
  • Interactive demonstrations: These will showcase state-of-the-art robotic systems, from autonomous vehicles to assistive technologies.
  • Meet and greets: There will be opportunities to connect with robotics experts and innovators.

“It is exciting to help students discover robotics and recognize the real-world applications for both military and civilian fields,” said Dr. Shawn Coleman, DEVCOM ARL Northeast lead. “We are thrilled to collaborate with MassRobotics to provide students with an immersive experience in robotics.”

MassRobotics said it’s working to grow the robotics community and spark innovation in the next generation of technology leaders. The organization hosts several education-related events throughout the year, including its annual Robot Block Party, open to the public.

National Robotics Week is celebrated with hundreds of events across the U.S. Founded in 2010, it aims to recognize robotics technology as a pillar of 21st-century innovation and to encourage students to pursue careers in robotics and STEM fields.

MassRobotics a strategic partner for Robotics Summit

MassRobotics will be returning to the 2025 Robotics Summit & Expo as an exclusive strategic partner. The event will takes place on April 30 and May 1 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. It will bring together more than 5,000 developers focused on building robots for aerospace and defense, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and other markets.

At the show, MassRobotics will run its 2025 Form and Function Robotics Challenge, a career fair, an Accelerator Showcase, and a presentation from the latest cohort in its Healthcare Robotics Startup Catalyst.

Attendees of the Robotics Summit & Expo can gain insights into the latest enabling technologies, engineering best practices, and emerging trends. There will be over 70 speakers on stage, more than 10 hours of dedicated networking time, a Women in Robotics Breakfast, and more.
