“Talent is the number one reason tech companies locate in Massachusetts and the inability to source enough skilled workers is the number one constraint to growth in the white-hot robotics and AI space,” said MassTLC CEO Tom Hopcroft. “We’re excited to partner with MassRobotics to help increase opportunities for talented job seekers, and we especially encourage women, tech leaders of color and LGBTQ+ tech leaders to participate.”
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, it is estimated that there are currently 132,500 robotics engineers in the United States. Projections show a nine percent job market growth from 2016 through 2026.
“We’ve seen a tremendous uptick in job opportunities from robotics and AI companies across New England,” said Tom Ryden, executive director, MassRobotics. “The pandemic has advanced the adoption of robotics across many fields and companies must staff up to fulfill demand. We’re excited to share these opportunities with our networks and the community.”
