Robotics Summit & Expo attendees will learn about Apptronik’s approach to developing a platform for general purpose robots.
New hardware, sensors, algorithms, and AI technologies have opened up the ability to rethink how robots are developed for use in unstructured environments. Using a first principles approach, Apptronik has used the same platform to develop a range of robots from exoskeletons to humanoids. This has resulted in reactive, compliant, lightweight, and affordable robots that can perform a variety of tasks in existing human environments.
At the Robotics Summit & Expo, which takes place in Boston from May 10-11, Jeff Cardenas, the co-founder and CEO of Apptronik, will give a talk titled “Developing General Purpose Robots That Push the Boundaries of Technology.” In this session, attendees will learn about Apptronik’s approach to developing a platform for general-purpose robots, their use cases, and the future viability of these systems. The talk will take place on May 10 at 2:00 PM.
Cardenas received his Master of Science in Technology Commercialization from the University of Texas at Austin. He previously worked in the Global Commercialization Group at the IC2 Institute at UT Austin, working with innovators from around the globe to take innovations out of the research lab and into the market. Cardenas holds an undergraduate Business degree from UT and worked in the technology practice of Deloitte Consulting. He previously founded several startups and a nonprofit. Cardenas has a passion for entrepreneurship and using technology to solve social issues and improve the world.
