“We are delighted to have John Dulchinos deliver a keynote at the Robotics Summit,” said Dan Kara, conference chairman and Vice President of Robotics and Intelligent Systems at WTWH Media. “John is well known and very respected within the robotics and manufacturing communities for his vast expertise in advanced digital manufacturing technologies, including robotics, automation and 3D printing. His deeply informed insights for bringing technologically advanced products to market will be both informative and inspirational for Robotics Summit attendees.”
Jabil is the world’s third-largest contract manufacturer. Here is the description of Dulchinos’ keynote entitled “Producing Commercial Class Robotics Systems: Challenges and Advanced Manufacturing Solutions:”
“The development of commercial class robotics systems requires the mastery of multiple disciplines – primarily software development, mechanical and electrical engineering. Robotics development is made even more difficult as it is limited by embedded and real-time constraints. Commercial viability adds additional burdens for the robotics developer… the resultant systems must be innovative, robust in the extreme, and work as advertised. Yet even if these issues are addressed, many other significant, often unrecognized challenges related to product introduction and production must also be addressed.
“In this session, Dulchinos will describe these go-to-market challenges, along with advanced manufacturing solutions that can be employed to best them. Topics include rapid prototyping, ensuring quality, designing for manufacturability, volume production, mass customization, supply chain management, fulfillment and more.”
“The Robotics Summit provides an ideal forum for educating and empowering robotics engineering and manufacturing professionals to unlock the full potential of advanced robotics systems in the age of digital manufacturing. This technology presents a big opportunity to create levels of manufacturing agility never seen before, if leveraged correctly. I look forward to sharing best practices, and discussing state-of-the-art solutions to meet the demands for commercial robotics design, development, manufacturing and deployment,” said Dulchinos.
As a digital manufacturing visionary, Dulchinos plays an important role in driving Jabil’s efforts to explore and expand the use of advanced manufacturing technologies to transform how products are designed, made and delivered. Under his leadership, Jabil has reinforced its industry leadership in robotics, 3D printing, M2M communications, automation and AI-enabling solutions.
A frequent lecturer and sought-after digital manufacturing expert, John currently serves as president of Silicon Valley Robotics, and previously served as a board member of the Robotics Industry Association (RIA) and the International Federation of Robotics (IFR).
