A guide to everything going on at the 2025 Robotics Summit & Expo

By Brianna Wessling | April 29, 2025

The showfloor at the 2024 Robotics Summit & Expo. The Robotics Summit & Expo kicks off at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center tomorrow. The show will bring together 5,000 attendees and more than 200 exhibitors for over 50 educational sessions. It also features numerous networking opportunities, a Career Fair, a robotics development challenge, the RBR50 Robotics Innovation Awards Gala, and more.

To help you keep track of everything going on, we’ve compiled a summary of all of the activities at the event over the next two days. In addition, you can download the Robotics Summit App to plan your personal schedule, network with fellow attendees, find exhibits, and more.

This afternoon, we’ll kick everything off with a pre-show Welcome Reception from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. ET in Meeting Room 258ABC. This is a ticketed event that costs $35.

Day 1 is packed with activities

Day 1 of the Robotics Summit kicks off at 9:00 a.m. in Room 258ABC with the show’s opening keynote, “Redesigning Atlas: Boston Dynamics on the Future of Humanoids” from Aaron Saunders, chief technology officer at Boston Dynamics.

This talk will be followed by another keynote in the same room from James Kuffner, the CTO of Symbotic. His presentation on “The Future of Intelligent Automated Logistics” will start at 10:00 a.m.

The expo floor will also open at 10:00 a.m. and will stay open until 5:00 p.m. There, you can find the Robotics Summit Engineering Theater, the live podcast studio, the RBR50 showcase area, and the Form and Function Challenge competitors. Attendees can even play pickleball with Tennibot.

If you’re interested in picking up some food for lunch, you can find the food court at the back of the expo hall.

Breakout sessions will start at 11:00 a.m. in the Engineering Theater and 11:30 a.m. in the meeting rooms upstairs. Five sessions will start at 11:30 a.m. in Rooms 259AB, 256, 257A, 260, and 257B. These sessions will pause at 12:15 p.m. for a lunch break.

At 1:45 p.m., five more sessions will start upstairs. Another round of sessions will start at 2:45 p.m. and again at 4:15 p.m.

From 3:30 to 4:15 p.m., you can come to the expo floor for a tailgate. Booths on the floor will be handing out free drinks. Come relax and catch up with your friends in the industry while also learning about the latest advancements from our exhibitors.

After the show floor closes, we’ll be holding the Robotics Mix & Mingle Reception in Room 258ABC from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. This is a ticketed network event that is free to add on to your Full Conference pass.

The RBR50 Robotics Innovation Awards Reception and Gala will start at 6:00 p.m. This is a ticketed event, with very limited seats. It will be held in Meeting Room 253BC.

Robotics Summit fun continues on Day 2

Day 2 of the Robotics Summit will begin at 8:00 a.m. with the Women in Robotics Breakfast. This hour of networking, engagement, mentorship, and free food and drink will feature a conversation between Laura Major, the interim CEO and CTO of Motional, and Joyce Sidopoulos, the co-founder and chief of operations at MassRobotics. It will take place in Room 253BC.

Our first keynote, in Room 258ABC, will start at 9:00 a.m. We’ll hear from Aaron Parness, the director of applied science in robotics and artificial intelligence at Amazon Robotics, about the company’s robotics evolution. Our next keynote, “Welcome to the Era of Physical Intelligence,” will be delivered at 10:00 a.m. by Daniela Rus, the director of MIT CSAIL.

Engineering Theater sessions begin at 11:00 a.m., while breakout sessions start at 11:30 a.m. More rounds of breakout sessions will start at 1:30 p.m. and at 2:30 p.m. Like on Day 1, breakout sessions will pause at 12:15 for a lunch break.

Aadeel Akhtar, the founder and CEO of PSYONIC, will give the closing keynote on “Advanced Bionics for Humans and Robots” in Room 258ABC at 3:30 p.m. He will give a live demonstration of the Ability Hand.

The Expo Floor opens at 10:00 a.m. on Day 2 and will close at 3:00 p.m. The MassRobotics Career Fair will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Southeast Level 2 Foyer. We look forward to seeing you at the 2025 Robotics Summit & Expo!
