ForwardX Robotics has launched smaller, nimbler, middle-weight autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). The two new models are the Flex 300-SCB Mini and Flex 300-L Mini. The Flex 300-L Mini is a platform AMR that also serves as the mobile base for the Flex 300-SCB Mini.

Both AMRs offer a 300 kg max payload and are designed to traverse narrow, one-way aisles with widths between 800-1000mm. The 300-SCB Mini features a structural shelving unit, HMI, and barcode scanner. The SCB version has a height of 1400 mm (for the shelving unit), versus the Flex 300-L base height of 295 mm. Both units share the same specifications and attributes for the rest of the product specs.

Both units feature advanced safety and are equipped with three lidar sensors along with vision-based SLAM technology. This provides the Flex 300 Mini AMRs with 360-degree obstacle recognition and avoidance, ensuring a safe working environment.

To enhance order-picking efficiency, the Flex 300-SCB Mini features an optional printer for receipts along with a barcode scanner for real-time order updates.

ForwardX won a 2022 RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award for its 5G AMR deployment in TCL’s Huizhou factory allows for increased flexibility.

ForwardX Robotics, which claimed it is the largest goods-to-person mobile robot provider in Asia, has set its sights on global expansion. The Beijing-based company recently partnered with VOYATZOGLOU Group as its official distributor in Greece.

Founded in 1992, VOYATZOGLOU said it is a leading provider of equipment for retail stores, warehouses, and distribution centers. The group said it will “bring its extensive expertise to propel the adoption of ForwardX Robotics’ full lineups and advanced solutions.”

VOYATZOGLOU’s EuroFit subsidiary will distribute ForwardX’s mobile robots in the Romanian market, too.
