Elmo Motion Control receives ISO 14001 certification

By Heather Hall | September 25, 2020

Elmo Motion Control, a manufacturer of innovative motion control technologies, today announced that it is has been certified to the ISO 14001 standard for environmental management systems. This provides independent, internationally recognized assurance that Elmo complies with all regulations and laws relating to environmental protection and emergency preparedness.

Granting of ISO 14001 Certification confirms Elmo’s ability to properly manage, monitor and control its environmental management system performance. As part of that, the certification recognizes that Elmo incorporates safety and environmental issues in its business management practices and systems. It verifies that Elmo can act effectively to safeguard people and property and minimize environmental impact in the event of an emergency.

Elmo Motion ControlAdditionally, ISO 14001 Certification reflects Elmo’s commitment to continual improvement of its systems and approach to safety and environmental concerns.

“Employee safety has always been a prime consideration at Elmo, and we are fully committed to doing our part to protect the environment across all aspects of our operations,” said Haim Monhait, CEO of Elmo Motion Control. “Taking care on our own environment complements how Elmo servo technology contributes to a greener environment for our customers by dramatically minimizing heat dissipation, creating negligible EMI and attenuating mechanical vibrations and instability. With growing environmental awareness and legislation in Israel and worldwide we felt it important to provide customers, partners and employees with the additional confidence that comes with ISO 14001 Certification. We will continue to take all necessary measures to fulfill our commitment to the environment.”

Elmo recently introduced its Platinum series of servo drives featuring advanced servo functionality and functional safety. An evolution of Elmo’s Gold line of servo drives, the new line of servo drives is designed to meet OEMs’ growing needs for safer, smarter, smaller, and faster servo drives. It can be a solution for many applications, including medical, robotics, material handling, semiconductor, laser processing, printing, and inspection operations that need the high-quality motion.

The Platinum line features ultra-fast EtherCAT networking and processing for faster cycling and higher synchronization, as well as negligible jitters and near-zero latency. The higher processing power enables faster data handling, a larger memory, and an endless real-time recorder to support high-performance applications.
