Droid Works Changes Name and gets $2.4M NIST Award

Helen Greiner’s Droid Works start-up has switched it’s name to CyPhy Works.

Stealth as they try to be, CyPhy Works has received it’s second NIST award – this time for $2.4M – to develop technologies for small, hovering, UAVs to be used for the inspection and monitoring of large-scale civil infrastructure elements such as bridges and dams.

The previous award was for $100k to enable UAVs to navigate inside houses and buildings.
