Celebrate top robotics innovators at the Robotics Summit & Expo’s RBR50 Gala

By The Robot Report Staff | April 8, 2025

An image of the stage at the 2024 RBR50 Gala at last year's Robotics Summit & Expo.

The 2024 RBR50 Gala featured Digit, the Robot of the Year, from Agility Robotics.

This year at the Robotics Summit & Expo, attendees will once again have the opportunity to meet some of the top innovators in robotics at the RBR50 Gala. This event honors the 2025 RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award Winners and will be attended by some of the top names in the industry.

The RBR50 Gala will be on April 30 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. ET at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center at the end of the first day of the Robotics Summit & Expo. The gala offers a chance to connect with the world’s leading robotics innovators. It’s also an evening to honor leading roboticists and their impressive achievements.

The event will include a cocktail hour, a plated dinner, and photo opportunities. It’s also an opportunity to hear from the Robot of the Year, Startup of the Year, and Application of the Year winners, as well as our first-ever Robots for Good winner.

Each 2025 RBR50 winner received two complimentary tickets to the Robotics Summit and the RBR50 Gala. A limited number of tickets is also available to summit attendees.

This year’s category winners are:

  • Robot of the Year: Waymo’s robotaxi, which has surpassed 150,000 paid trips per week across its deployment.
  • Startup of the Year: Mytra, a startup that developed a 3D lattice storage system that maximizes density and eliminates aisles while allowing flexibility in handling various payloads, from small items up to 3,000 lb. pallets.
  • Application of the Year: Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) used a remote-controlled robot named Telesco to retrieve a small piece of radioactive fuel from Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
  • Robots for Good: Hello Robot’s Stretch 3 mobile manipulator is compact, lightweight, and capable enough to help those with mobility challenges gain independence at home.

The Robotics Summit & Expo will also have a dedicated area on the show floor dedicated to current and previous RBR50 winners. This year’s showcase will include Endiatx, MAB Robotics, HEBI Robotics, Humotech, Boston Dynamics, Hello Robot, Glidance, Locus Robotics, and mbodi.ai.

Gain valuable insights at the Robotics Summit & Expo

The Robotics Summit & Expo will bring together more than 5,000 attendees focused on building robots for various commercial industries. Attendees can gain insights into the latest enabling technologies, engineering best practices, emerging trends, and more.

The event will feature more than 50 educational sessions in tracks on AI, design and development, enabling technologies, healthcare, and logistics. The Engineering Theater on the show floor will also feature presentations by industry experts.

The expo hall will have over 200 exhibitors showcasing the latest enabling technologies, products, and services that can help robotics engineers throughout their development journeys.

The Robotics Summit also offers numerous networking opportunities, a Career Fair, a robotics development challenge, and more.

Co-located with the event is DeviceTalks Boston, the premier event for medical technology professionals, currently in its tenth year. Both events attract engineering and business professionals from a broad range of healthcare and medical technology backgrounds.

Registration is now open.
