ABB Robotics will feature two YuMi collaborative robot demos at the 2016 Vision Show …
… May 3 through 5 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston — at Booth #303. Sponsored by the Automated Imaging Association (AIA), the show is North America’s largest display of the machine vision and imaging technology designed to improve operational performance across a wide range of industrial and commercial applications. More after the jump.
Klas Bengtsson, ABB’s global product manager for vision and sensors, will make a presentation on Vision Guided Robotics as part of the Vision Show Conference.
Nicolas De Keijser, ABB’s US Assembly & Test business line manager, will make a presentation on Collaborative Robotics during the Collaborative Robotics Workshop that will be held in conjunction with the show.
YuMi, the world’s first truly collaborative dual-arm industrial robot, is specifically designed to meet the flexible and agile production needs of a wide variety of small parts assembly and handling applications. It is compact, can operate in very close collaboration with humans, and is highly compatible with ABB’s Integrated Vision.
The two YuMi Vision Show demos include:
A vision-enabled, small parts assembly application, integrated with the ABB FlexFeeder, an ultra-compact flexible parts feeding system designed for applications such as consumer electronics, computers and communication devices.
An interactive, hands-on demo allowing attendees to program YuMi using ABB’s easy-to-use, lead-through programming technology.
