Medrobotics: Expanding the reach of surgery
Medrobotics‘ Flex Robotic System allows physicians to access anatomical locations that are traditionally harder to reach. The system is designed for robot-assisted visualization and surgical site access to the oropharynx, hypopharynx and larynx in adult patients.
Surgeons now have a magnified, HD view of anatomical structures for minimally invasive procedures. The Flex Robotic System’s snakelike design also means it can reach challenging surgical targets by creating a 180º path.
Medrobotics recently raised $20M for its Flex Robotic System from 12 investors. It received FDA 510(k) clearance in July 2015.
