Y-T-D Robo-Stox™ Not In Sync With Sales

... The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) said that 2011 was the most successful year for both industrial and service robot company sales:
    ... Industrial robot sales were up 38% from 2010; 166,000 robots were sold of which 34% went to the automotive sector.
    ... Service robot sales were up 9% from 2010 and reflected 16,408 units of which 32% went to the defense sector.
    ... Personal and domestic robot sales were up 15% over 2010 and reflected 2.5 million units, $636 million in sales, mostly in toys and robot vacuums.
... Nevertheless, publicly-traded robotics stocks seem to be mirroring the Dow Jones Industrial Average instead of the more technically savvy NASDAQ. Japanese and Korean stocks are still suffering from the effects of the earthquake, tsunami, nuclear meltdown and reduced power.
